I'd describe my personality as patient, helpful, and organized. My skills include help with study skills, test-taking, note-taking, and mastery/ improved comprehension of the material. I am eager to give students tips on how to study smarter and to learn things more simply for purposes of retention, as well as on a deeper level to get those A's on tests. I started tutoring when I was in college. I was recruited by my college's Spanish Department due to good grades to do paid, peer tutoring and then was recruited to tutor Biology next. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my kids. Homework is something I help with daily. My kids make all A's and I'd like to think I have something to do with that. One thing you should know about me is I have been a tutor for 15 yr, done homework help for 10 yr, and have taught at the junior college, college, and graduate level for 10 yr. I have a PhD in biology and am well-qualified to help your child (or you!) succeed.

We are thrilled to have found Rebecca. My sister and I needed someone to help us with caregiving for my parents, 92 and 87, but as they were somewhat resistant to the idea we weren't sure how it would go. Rebecca's warm personality won them over on day one and my mother now refers to her as her third daughter. Very importantly to my sister and me is that Rebecca is a great communicator - she always texts when she leaves letting us know what they did that morning, how my mom was feeling, etc. She makes my mom's breakfast and ensures the right medicines are taken. She motivates her (no easy task on some days!) to do her physical therapy exercises and take walks outside. She helps my dad with grocery shopping and some basic housekeeping like making the bed and changing the sheets. She's been very helpful in taking them to a doctor appointment, run other errands and willing to add additional hours when needed. Rebecca is dependable, friendly, trustworthy and empathetic. My parents want to remain independent where they can and she is helping us help them to do just that.
