I have worked in the caregiving field for many years. I love to help people who physically and mentally are not capable of taking care of themselves. When, my sons where very little I was in charge of a group home for mentally disable adults and seniors. I took some time off and change my field. I realized how I missed my calling. I was fortunate enough to be able to care for a lady in her late 70's, for 3 plus years. Her passing is why I stopped caring for her. I have worked of Age at Home. I had many residents family members request me, to be their parents primary care giver. I left the job not because I didn't love my residents. I left because, I had a chance to be a one on one provider again for a man who was in his 80's. My responsibilities include the following; cleaning (side note) I love to clean, grocery shopping, meal prep, laundry, taking them to appts, bathroom duties, showering/ bathing and dispersed medications. I am trained in CPR, safety lifts, and catheter care.
