About Rachel

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I have been working with, or around, children for a little over 13 years. My preteen and teenage years were full of volunteer time with my church and a few babysitting gigs. At that point in my life I was working mostly with infants through age 6. Once I graduated from high school, I started working at a daycare in the 2-3-year-old room, but moved around and worked with all ages through 12. I worked at the daycare for 2. 5 years. While working there I was in school at Eastern for Education. I was a triple major and was working towards a degree in Early Childhood (0-8), general (5-10), and Elementary Reading. While my love for education and children never faltered, life and other factors regarding my beliefs for children got in the way. I was about 5 classes away from graduation. My goal when working with children is to help create a safe environment for learning, feelings, and growth. I also have experience with cleaning services.
