About Rachel

I'm trained in art education and I have worked in both formal and informal settings from classrooms to afterschool programs to being a care giver, but can use the arts and play to integrate a variety of subjects, especially elementary school students. I have ADHD and am able to work especially well with kids who are neurodivergent as I can understand and can adapt to their learning style and needs. I am able to integrate lessons in math and science with the outdoors, play and art therapy and education. Examples include learning about biology and ecology through foraging and nature, science through kitchen experiments, and history through traditional crafts, among others.
