I have been playing drums and percussion for over 18 years and have been teaching music for the last six. In addition, I have also worked as a tutor helping kids with reading comprehension and writing, from basic grammar to literature analysis and essay writing. I recently graduated with honors from The New School's Jazz and Contemporary Music program with a degree in performance, and have played music all over the country. While in school, I also took advanced classes in literature and writing as well as numerous classes in design and photography. I have a strong love of learning and I truly understand the difference it makes to have a teacher that is deeply passionate passionate and knowledgable about the subject they are covering.
