About Patricia

Before university I worked in a nursing home while in technical school, and took "Elderly Care" for one year. I have always had a strong desire and genuine interest in loving people and caring for their suffering. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at 30 years-old, so I grew up caring for him until he passed. I served as a pastor's wife for 30 years and cared for numerous non-ambulatory adults with dementia. I cared for many seniors in their homes throughout the years while pastoring along side my husband. I took care of my own mother for 10 years in my home 24/7, who was victim of a fall, a stroke, and into a wheelchair and walker. I managed all her care personally and was her constant companion to stimulate her intellect and her exercises until dementia set in, and she became completely bedridden until she passed. I am currently looking to assist someone in this capacity, either part-time or full-time.
