This past summer, I was a camp counselor for Gwinnett County parks and rec. Even though it was summer camp, I still used my teaching philosophy to guide me through planning activities for each week. That included making sure activities were relevant and challenging, kids were learning through having fun, and the activities were suitable, or could be adapted to suit each camper. Now that I have had that experience, I feel confident in my skills, and I want to branch out and expose myself to varying settings with children so I can be a well rounded Elementary Teacher.
