About Niya

Hello! My name is Niya I'd describe my personality as Outgoing, Caring, and Optimistic. I like working with kids because seeing their different personalities, interests, perspectives, etc. is such a amazing thing to see. Seeing their milestones, goals, achievements, and their happiness throughout all of it makes me an even happier person. I believe we can also learn a lot from kids, and they can show us things we usually won't even see or know for ourselves, and can truly make us a better person . I started working with kids when I was 14. Since then I've been a counselor/teacher for summer camp and afterschool, and an assistant teacher for preschool. In my spare time, I like to study, as I am heading toward my degree in nursing, and enjoy the outdoors. My skills include great communication/active listening , working with special needs children, and creative problem solving.
