About Miren

I've had the privilege of working with children as an art camp counselor, a babysitter, and a nanny! I've recently worked as a nanny for two children (ages 3 and 6) this past summer and I loved learning the intricacies of how they communicate with each other and helping them learn to process their feelings. I was there to look after the children as their parents worked remotely. I'm very enthusiastic about arts & crafts projects, science experiments, imaginary playtime, and nature explorations. Being an environmental science major, I love exploring nature with the kiddos, simultaneously letting them take charge while also encouraging safety and mindfulness of our surroundings. Since 2013, I've worked for a local art camp called DotArt. Working with large groups of children from my neighborhood has been fulfilling and inspiring because I'm always impressed by what they create!
