About Miliana

While my degrees are in architecture, through homeschooling my own children (now happy, healthy, curious teens) I've discovered how much I love facilitating adventure and discovery for children of all ages. I'm looking to help a family who sees--or wants to see--this school year as an opportunity, not an obstacle. Depending on a family's needs, I can help sort through curriculum, support an eclectic or unschooling approach, develop a nature schooling program, support an existing online school program, and document activities and projects in a way that translates easily in case a school requires transcripts for the following year. Experience has taught me that, as a facilitator, my job is to authentically connect with the learner and adjust teaching styles and resources to fit how they're learning in the moment.

Miliana is exactly who we needed! She is very patient and kind to our learning squad, while being a true advocate for our children. She takes them on exciting field trips, helps them with daily schoolwork, and is emotionally supportive as well. My daughter was struggling with online learning with the pandemic. Miliana was prompt to notice and advise on how to make things easier for her, with genuine concern. I honestly don't know how we would have juggled work and online schooling without her. Thank you!
