About Michaelene

I began caring for children professionally in 2006 working for a family with special needs. In that position, I helped raise two boys, ages 3 and 7. After five years, the family, happily, was able to function without my assistance. In Nov. 2013, I began working with a newborn and over a period of three wonderful years, prepared her for preschool. We enjoyed everything from academic activities, nature walks and museum visits to potty training. She started school in August, 2016 and transitioned well to her new educational adventure. Next, I worked with three families on a part-time basis, all of whom had infants and/or toddlers that I prepared for preschool. During our time together, we worked on age appropriate skills utilizing educational toys, cooking lessons, flash cards and, of course, books. I offer a balance of nature, the arts, and academics as part of my curriculum.
