About Melissa

Hi My name is Melissa (Mel) and I just moved to the area at the beginning of July I lived in Albuquerque NM, where I was a private caregiver for over 7 years. Most of my time was caring for a gentleman who has ALS (physical limitations and respiratory complicationd) and his father who had Parkinson's (assist wiIh showering, mobility, and other ADLs,. I also cared for other elderly in need of care. My last being with a 78-year-old woman who had the beginning stages of dementia. My duties included everything from shopping, giving meds, house cleaning, dressing to cooking. Before working for the elderly I worked as an EMT on an ambulance and also a pharmacy techinician. I have over 15 years of expierence in the medical field and feel I'm currently looking for a part time (maybe a couple days a week?)opportunity to take on another private home care client I'm also listing for special needs
