About Melanie

I have my undergraduate degree in English Teaching from Metropolitan State University's School of Urban Education. My focus is on providing equitable and relatable learning experiences for children from all backgrounds. My degree focused on trauma-and diversity- informed teaching. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree from University of St. Thomas in management. I have 4 years of experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional working with both DCD and EBD students. The grades of my students ranged from K-12, although most of my experience is with Junior High/High School students. I am currently a licensed Short-Call Teaching Substitute for the Brooklyn Center and Spring Lake Park public schools.
