In the spring of grade 2, I was invited to volunteer with the kindergarteners and that began my journey to childcare. I began taking care of children alone at the age of 12 right after I got my first CPR training and babysitter's certification. At age 17, I have supervised 48- 56, 3-12-year-old's, alone for brief 1 hour periods. This was at a gymnasium camp in which I was working at during a language exchange in Quebec, Canada. I speak English, Spanish and French fluently and am a college graduate.

Parents beware! Melanie applied for our job posting. We talked to her and she stated she's an architect and holds a college degree but no longer works in that field and desires to be a nanny for her love of kids. We proceeded to the next step of hiring her, and she provided a family reference name. The name she provided was the same exact name as her father's. I spoke with her about it and she stated it was a coincidence and the father of the child she cared for carries the same name as her father. I spoke with the gentleman (the reference she provided) and he sounded extremely young. However, we overlooked this and still hired her due to what seemed to be a great interview with her. Twelve hours before she was to start her first day with us, she sent me a message stating she no longer desires to work with us. I do not usually leave negative reviews for anyone but feel the need to aware other parents about this young lady that does not seem to be a true nanny nor is serious about this job. Very unreliable, unprofessional and unclear what her true motives are for being on this site.
