About Megan

Hello! I was a middle and high school English and Journalism teacher for over 12 years. I'm now a full time self-employed ELA tutor, and I absolutely love it. I meet with students in grades K-12 both in person and on online to help them improve their reading, writing, and study skills, as well as standardized test preparation. For reading comprehension, I expose students to the different types of texts they need to master in the classroom, always paving the way for them to move up to the next level when ready. For writing, I strive to make my students feel more confident and comfortable with the entire writing process, which translates to them being more successful in many other aspects of their lives.
