About Carlie

I love working with children; they are my joy and its a privilege to work with them. I have a Psychology degree from Loyola Marymount University (graduated in 2010). I have continuing early childhood education credits. During my time in college, I've taught test prep and Reading/Math for children (ages 9-12) with learning disabilities for four years. I have had one-on-one tutoring sessions as well as classroom setting teaching of 10-20 students. I have nannied and taught a little girl with Rett Syndrome for 6 months. I also worked at an after school program as a teacher assistant, tutoring students with homework/reading for elementary school age kids in Chicago for a semester. I was a volunteer as mentor for kids in the inner city of Chicago for 4 years. I have worked as a pre-school teacher for 4 years at an academic based private school in Chicago, working with children ages infant to 4 years old.
