My experience in quote unquote senior care has actually been with a young woman of only 27 who recently lost her battle with osteosarcoma. While she wasn't elderly, her caregiving needs were very similar to someone much older. I helped manage her medications, aided her in restroom and bathing activities, prepared her meals, transported her to appointments, and kept her company in her final year here on earth. Taking care of her helped me realize that this kind of work could be some of the most rewarding in the world, and I would be overjoyed to help your loved one feel comfortable, clean, fed, and never alone.
