About Mateo

Hello! My name is Mateo. I am a first-year graduate student at UMass pursuing a degree in Agriculture. I love people and spend most of my free time serving others; I volunteer often and lead a minority student organization. I have experience providing care for children of all ages, and have spent some of my undergraduate years volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Lowell. My family is of mixed origin, including French, Spanish, and Mexican. I lived in Mexico for most of my life but returned to my native MA in 2016. Right now, I am looking for a stable part-time job. Caregivers play an important role in my life. The only family I have in this country; my mother, my cousin, and my fiancee, are all professional nannies whom with I work often. Because of my academic background, I am a well-prepared tutor in a variety of subjects, including science, math, creative and technical writing, Spanish (I am bilingual!), and psychology.
