Hello all! I am a full-time professional nanny looking to pick up some extra hours. I graduated from the University of NC in 2024 with a bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Science as well as a minor in Hispanic Studies. I have been with my current nanny family for almost 2 years and their little boy is currently 2 years old. Prior to my full time position, I have over 8 years of babysitting experience, caring for children of all ages. During my time at UNC, I received childcare training and completed an internship at a Reggio-Emilia Spanish immersion child development center. My primary focuses in childcare are emotional regulation, mindfulness, and connection. I believe that being a positive, calm, and reassuring presence is key for connecting with children and helping them build healthy attachments and perspectives of the world. If she has driven my children anywhere she has always let me know how long they will be gone, where they are going, and has sent pictures of the kids at their location. Mary always asks permission before doing an outing with the kids. She's the absolute best and you cannot go wrong choosing her to take care of your precious babies.
