Hello! 
My name is Maritza. I'm 27yrs old & a graduate of UC Irvine. I double-majored in Education Sciences (emphasis in Early Child Development) & Spanish Literature and Culture. Over the past 7yrs, I have worked with children of many ages, in a variety of educational environments. This has allowed me to develop a unique set of skills that continue to guide me in understanding infancy & toddlerhood. 
Previously, I have worked at a preschool where I was stationed in the infant & toddler classroom. While in this position, I was trained to administer napping/sleep training, feeding schedules & sign language. In addition, I performed a sequence of physical, verbal, mental, & emotional growth, as well as toddler education.
To sum it up, I love children & I am very passionate and proud of my work, in helping families navigate their daily lives

My husband had to go on a work trip for several months, so we hired Maritza during that time to come on weekends to take care of our toddler so that I could get things done and also get some time to myself. Maritza is very professional and always on time. My child really warmed up to her and enjoyed spending time with her. They had lots of fun going to the park, playing and reading. I would definitely hire Maritza again in the future.

We did a trial day with Maritza one Sunday afternoon and miraculously she managed to put our infant son down for his nap that first day within just a few hours...she most definitely is gifted with kids. 
Maritza is smart, punctual, professional, detail oriented, kind, polite and very easy to have around. We have enjoyed bonding over many conversations, however she is as quiet as a mouse when I am working and need no distractions. 
We will continue to hire Maritza for years to come. 


Maritza took care of our son E. over the last 4 months and did an outstanding job. She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge around caregiving for toddlers, and we learned a lot from her along the way. Maritza is fantastic! We’ve had her watch our daughter several times from when she was around 1 to now she’s 3yrs old. Our daughter loves when she comes over to take care of her. Maritza has been a wonderful nanny for our 9-month-old curious independent daughter.  There are various schedules and nuances to the daily routine that Maritza stays on top of and is great about being able to use her experience to best adjust as needed when naps go awry or milk intake is behind.  She is wonderful at feeding not just her belly well (BLW), but also her mind with various songs, activities and reading.  It's hard to find great child care providers in Los Angeles, and she is one of them!

Maritza is great! She has such positive energy and you can tell she loves kids! I hired her to take care of my 9 week old and she was great with him. She fed him his bottles and held him for naps. She has worked with us for several weeks now doing weekdays and a couple date nights here and there. I would hire her again.

I couldn't recommend Maritza highly enough. She was attentive and constantly engaged our 11 month old daughter. She was punctual, highly communicative and proactive in every way (not only when it came to our daughter but also in helping around the house, with our dogs and identifying other opportunities to take things off our plate).   She's also the most confident and professional nanny we've had the pleasure of working with!  We hope to be able to retain her services in the future.

Maritza is the absolute best. We, along with another family, hired her to care for our toddler boys. We could not have found a better person for the job. The kids were cared for better than we could have hoped for. She was punctual, communicative, and we had nothing but trust in her. We ended up moving out of state, which was the reason we had to stop working with her.

Maritza was always responsive and was able to help out in a pinch and with short notice. She was responsible with my five year old daughter, who absolutely loved her! When Maritza was with her I didn't have to worry because I knew Maritza would keep her safe and ensure all her needs were met. Maritza is friendly, engaging, and maintained structure with my daughter. Maritza would take her to the pool, out for scooter rides, and played a number of other games and activities with her. I would utilize Maritza again in a heart beat and anyone would be lucky to have her as a part of their family!

Maritza has the energy, enthusiasm, patience and developmental understanding to care for two toddler boys, including working with different nap and eating schedules.  She can be silly and lighthearted, compassionate and nurturing.  She is thoughtful and remains in communication.  Her communication skills are truly an asset - she navigated four parents, each with thoughts and ideas about their child, the challenging logistics of a nanny share, the new and unexpected risks of the pandemic, and so many other topics, with authenticity and professionalism.  She welcomed feedback and talked through any issues. She listened to parenting podcasts that I sent and incorporated the new skills.  She is reliable, conscientious of social issues and being a model for children, generous and an all-around wonderful person.  She contributed to household tasks and was always open to a specific request for help.  Most of all, I know she cares deeply for my children and will always show them love.

Maritza is dedicated in the childcare she provides, and she's professional in her interactions with clients. While working for me, she very naturally adapted to the customs of our household (cloth diapers, nap times, meal schedules, outside time, sunscreen, etc.) and was attentive to these details while providing compassionate care. She is adept at working with infants and toddlers (she worked with my son when he was between 13 and 17 months), as well as older children (my five-year-old daughter loved her too). Overall a great caregiver!

Maritza has been very helpful and has made herself available when we need her.

We have a very rambunctious 6 year old and a 4 year old who require a high energy nanny and Maritza has been amazing with them--firm, yet fun. 

She plays with them, reads to them, always has them doing fun activities that engage their imaginations. She can multi-task, getting the kids ready for their day, meal prepping while also doing light housekeeping. She treats our kids with love and respect and they have responded in kind. We are so grateful to have found her and would recommend her to any family looking for a loving nanny for their children.
