I have been working in childcare since 2009, beginning with weekly babysitting in high school and transitioning to part-time nannying in college. I ended up nannying for a family in Little Italy for six years and it was one of the most important and incredible experiences of my life! The children are 9 and 11 now, but their first born was 3 months old when I started. Through the position, I gained a lot of infant and toddler experience, which eventually lead to my interest in becoming a Postpartum Doula. After receiving my certification from CAPPA, I worked as a Postpartum Doula and served over 50 families in the span of 2 years. I also babysit for families regularly on weekends and evenings, mainly in the toddler and infant age range. Currently, I work from home in HR/Benefits. Maria is fantastic! She is the first sitter (outside of family) that we hired to watch our four month old daughter. Being a first time mom, I was quite anxious about leaving our daughter with someone new. As soon as I met Maria, my anxieties subsided. She is warm, relaxed and confident. When communicating with Maria, she is responsive and reliable. Not only is Maria wonderful with our daughter, but she also provided amazing care to our dog, who is not always the easiest around new people. Maria is our go-to sitter, and we hope to have her help our family more in the future!
