About Mara

I am so excited you are considering me to care for your kiddos! I am a new transplant to Atlanta from St. Louis, MO. I have a masters degree in social work from Washington University and spent the past 4 years working as a school social worker in urban elementary and early childhood education. Most recently I was the school social worker for 380 students aged preschool through 5th grade in a public school. I have a long history working with children. I am the second eldest of five children, and grew up caring for my younger siblings. Throughout college I served as a classroom aide with toddlers in a child development center. I worked as a practicum student visiting program as well. I've been a summer camp counselor twice working with 3rd-6th graders. I served in a 3rd grade classroom in Dorchester, MA after graduating undergrad and served another year in a small, private elementary school in South Boston. I am CPR/First Aid certified.
