About Makena

I have over 15 years of experience caring for children & babysitting. I began babysitting at age 15 & continued throughout high school, college, & graduate school. I also spent a year in Italy working as a full-time nanny/au pair for a family, where I was responsible for all aspects of childcare, including school drop-offs/pick-ups, coordinating after-school activities, helping with homework, & planning outings to museums, parks, & other local spots. I also prepared meals, organized creative crafts, & maintained a safe, structured, & fun environment. Most recently, I have been caring for my newborn nephew, gaining hands-on experience with infant care including feeding, soothing, & supporting daily routines. I am patient, energetic, and attentive, & I truly enjoy building meaningful connections with the children I care for. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children, & I strive to provide a reliable, warm, and supportive presence.
