I am a licensed toddler/preschool teacher and a certified Music Together teacher, employed for 3+ years at the Children's Music Center of Jamaica Plain and Music & Movement of Newton (now called Music Together on the Charles). As a professional musician, I have much creative energy to offer your child. My nanny duties in the past have included feeding, diapering, bathing, and providing entertainment, such as outings to museums, playgrounds, story-times, etc. I also provide developmentally appropriate activities for children that strengthen language, math and motor skills. Most of all - I love and respect children for their own unique personalities.

Madeleine was the first nanny for our first child, and she set the bar high for all caregivers that followed. She's very knowledgeable about early childhood development and planned thoughtful, educational activities for our child, including lots of fun crafts. As first-time parents, we learned a lot from her about getting through the toddler years, as she partnered side-by-side with us at each milestone our child reached, from 1 to 3 years old. In addition to communicating clearly about practical matters, she also shared lots of great insights about our child's development based on what she observed throughout the day. She's warm, kind, patient, responsible, and extremely trustworthy -- everything you'd hope for in a caregiver. She's also punctual to the point that we could set our clocks by her arrival time each morning. We've enjoyed keeping in touch with her even after we moved away, and I can't recommend her highly enough to any family looking to hire someone who will feel like an extension of your own.
