About Layse

We cannot recommend Layse highly enough. She worked for our family as a morning nanny from May 2024 until recently when she moved out of the area. She cared for our son O. from the time he was 11 months old until he was nearly three, and over that time she truly became an extension of our family. Layse is proactive and a huge help to have around. Starting around 6:30 AM, she would let herself in, tidy up the kitchen, and empty the dishwasher before getting O. out of bed. She would dress him in outfits that were way trendier and more color-coordinated than anything we could put together. She was wonderfully patient with his meals, feeding him whatever he was willing to eat and always going the extra mile by bringing him new fruits to try. After getting him ready, she dropped him off at daycare on her way to her afternoon role. Beyond just handling the daily logistics, Layse fostered huge emotional and interpersonal development in O. She didn't just watch him, she engaged with him deeply, whether they were practicing on his scooter, exploring the kids’ museums, or looking at bunnies. As working parents, my wife and I especially appreciated her great communication and flexibility. When O. was home sick, she was so compassionate. She carefully monitored his symptoms, helped with his medication, and was willing to adjust her hours to help us out when daycare wasn't an option. Layse is trustworthy, loving, and wonderful with children. We are so sad her time with us ended because of her move, and we would hire her again without reservation for long or short-term work. Any family would be lucky to have her.
