About Lauren

Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a West Hartford native. I have a degree in Biology and Psychology from UConn and am currently pursuing my MSW from my alma mater. I currently work for The Village full time in their foster care department as a foster parent licensor but have found that I have some extra time to commit to helping other local families while I finish up my degree. My previous role as a case worker allowed me to work with a very diverse population of children, ranging from children on the ASD spectrum to children with learning disabilities and children with behavioral disabilities. I love kids and pets and have years of experience with both, working for other families in West Hartford while in high school and undergrad and now with our foster kid clients at my current place of employment. I speak fluent Spanish and have experience in tutoring children in the language as well. I am CPR certified and have my own mode of transportation I can also send my resume upon request.
