About Laurel

I'd describe my personality as friendly, helpful, and calm. I like working with kids because they bring me much joy. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to work with young children one on one or small group. I have taught K-3rd grade for 26 years. Due to health issues, I am currently looking for work outside of the classroom setting. Since November 2023, I have been providing respite care for special needs children. I currently work with children with autism and Down syndrome. I am also a nanny for a 20-month-old girl. I have been working with 3 - and 6-year-old sibling sets for several months. One thing you should know about me is I am very reliable. My skills include loving care, consistent expectations, and skill development support. I am Red Cross certified for CPR and first aid.
