About Laura

I have experience babysitting and caring for children from newborns through 5 years old but am happy to care for older children. While in grad school, I spent extended periods of time caring for my nephews (from newborn to 2 years old) which included middle-of-the night feedings, swaddling, bedtime routines, morning routines, milk, sleep, and diaper tracking, etc. I respect the routines and guidelines parents provide to ensure continuity and comfort for kids, parents, and myself. My academic and professional background is in international business. I'm currently starting my own company so my schedule is a bit more of my own. I grew up in the states but spent 7 years abroad in my 20s so I am comfortable speaking in Spanish and Portuguese if needed/desired. I really enjoy taking care of kids and providing parent with the occasional much-needed reprieves.
