I started my child care career as a 12-year-old taking care of my 7-year-old sister, then started working with my neighbors children as a mother's helper before taking care of kids on my own around age 14, working with kids ranging from infants to 9-year-olds. Now I am a college student who has spent her last four summers working at a day camp in shoreline with a range of ages 4-12. This past summer I was promoted to Sport Director, giving me extra experience with planning activities as well as dealing with the not so pretty parts of childcare like injuries and behavioral issues. I'm going for a degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics at Pacific Lutheran University and would be very comfortable helping with homework or doing tutoring.
