About Larissa

I have always been passionate about working with children. After an initial career in marketing, I realized my true calling was with children and for the past 8 years I've followed my dream as a teacher/nanny. I believe that working with children is as much about teaching as it is about learning-from the kids and parents I work with to ongoing Child Care Development courses I've taken over the years (and will continue to take because there's always more to learn!). I'm a problem-solver by nature and an eager collaborator. I'll always take the initiative when I see an opportunity but I'm not afraid to ask questions and seek guidance too. Outside work, my innate curiosity is enriched by nature and travel. Growing up in Oregon instilled an appreciation for the outdoors, and for fun I love solo hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, discovering new camp sites, and even skydiving. I also love traveling to gain new perspectives on the world as well as to visit my extended family in Mexico.
