About Krista

As an experienced educator with over 8 years of full-time teaching/tutoring experience, I am grateful for my students and the role I have been able to play in their lives. I currently work as a part-time Professor at Sacramento State University and the University of Maryland Global Campus. I have had the pleasure of tutoring at UC Davis, the Atlanta Country Day School (serving special needs teens, Atlanta, GA), as well as most recently at the Huntington Learning Center of Sacramento, where I served as a 1:1 Reading/Math tutor for K-12 students, including many with learning differences and/or special needs. I have taught classes in the Biological Sciences at 8 different universities from Boston to Minnesota to the Bay Area, to here in Sacramento. My teaching strategy utilizes praise, patience, positivity, and reinforcement.
