About Kira

Hello! I'm Kira, and I'm a credentialed elementary school teacher based in North County San Diego. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and recently completed my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I just finished my first year as a full-time kindergarten teacher, and beginning this fall I'll be working as a substitute teacher, which gives me a flexible schedule for nannying. Working with children has been a huge part of my life for years. In addition to teaching kindergarten, I've babysat for families, led Girl Scout troops and encampments, organized engaging activities, and volunteered with La Clase Mágica in Solana Beach, where I provided academic support to Spanish-speaking elementary school students. I love creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments where kids can learn and explore! I'm happy to share my resume, teaching credential, and references upon request.
