I am a firm believer in creating strong reading skills and a love for learning in young children. As a dyslexic, I learned the struggles of how being a weak reader creates problems with learning most school subjects. This personal struggle gave me the drive to try to ensure children in my care are taught the skills needed to become strong readers and develop a love for learning. As a mom, preschool teacher, and a private nanny, I have taught many young children to read over the years. It's been such a joy to then watch these young children grow into strong confident readers and learners! I have taught both preschool and kindergarten aged children. As a recent retiree, I am hoping to connect to a family that is looking for someone to homeschool their preschool to first grade age children. We can work together to select the best curriculum for your child. I have great references and would be happy to chat more to see if I would be a good match for your child.
