About Kimberly

I'm a licensed teacher with a background in special education and several years of experience supporting elementary and middle school students. I specialize in reading, writing, organization, and confidence-building, and I have experience working with students with IEPs and diverse learning needs. I use a structured, individualized approach to meet students where they are and break skills into manageable steps. For reading support, I provide explicit decoding instruction using Orton-Gillingham-based methods, which are especially effective for students struggling with phonics. I also offer baseline assessments and ongoing data collection to help parents understand their child's starting point and clearly track growth over time. I prioritize strong communication, clear goals, and strategies that can be reinforced at home. I'm available for summer tutoring to build skills, prevent learning loss, and help students feel more confident and independent in their learning.
