My first love is animals, my second is seniors. This has been the case since I can remember. I believe this to be true because I love helping those who can't help themselves. I feel a sense of worth and accomplishment caring for those who aren't able to care for themselves. I understand not all seniors fit this description and may just need an extra helping hand. I'm more than happy to help! My experience with senior care has only been with my Great Aunt who lived alone until she passed. She suffered from dementia, but was always a joy to be around. I cared for her several days per week after my day job to give her daughter some relief. I made her dinner, made sure she showered, entertained her with arts and crafts, listened to her stories (usually the same ones), and ran some light errands occasionally. The pay I received I used to further entertain my Aunt with painting and crocheting (she loved both so much!). I can provide references upon request.
