About Kayla

Whether your student needs help with homework, filling in gaps in foundational concepts, or planning and organizational tools to meet academic goals, I am here to guide them every step of the way! I have over 13 years of experience in teaching having worked as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and a program specialist at the state department of education. Working with students to teach strategies for problem solving and working through areas of academic struggle is a passion of mine. Setting goals and planning to reach those goals through backward design has proven successful in my work with struggling students. I am energetic, empathetic, and curious, traits that rely on as I tutor my students!
