About Kaylah

Hi! I'm Kaylah, a college student studying psychology with a passion for helping children learn, grow, and feel confident in who they are. I believe kids thrive in environments filled with patience, encouragement and care. I started working with children in my mother's daycare, where I helped daily throughout high school. I later worked in another daycare during college and gained hands-on experience supervising children, supporting learning, and leading activities. I also currently work as a Chicago Public Schools substitute teacher, where I support students in different classroom settings. I additionally have experience running my own daycare, which strengthened my leadership and ability to build trust with families. I love turning everyday moments into learning, through reading, art, play, and conversation. I would describe myself as creative, compassionate, and dependable. In my free time, I enjoy art and fashion, often using creativity to explore mental health and social topics.
