About Kathlyn

I'd describe my personality as warm, caring, creative I like working with kids because it enables me to employ curiosity and creative skills in many ways- from engaging activities to conflict resolution. I'm looking for a job that is collaborative and engaging. I hope to be a part of a team lovingly supporting young people. I have been doing childcare on and off since I was 13, beginning as a babysitter, then daycare worker in my teens and later working as nanny in my twenties. In my spare time, I like to sketch, see my nieces, make dinner with friends, visit galleries, do digital design tutorials and read up on native Northwest ecology. One thing you should know about me is I am very sensitive to children and their emotional well-being. And I am excellent with pillow forts and face painting! My skills include patience, empathy, and the ability to get on the level of kids. I find these skills support a creative, safe, playful environment.
