About Katherine

I am a retired, healthy and active woman seeking part-time work (8-15 hours a week) caring for an infant. As my grandchildren are now in school and living in CA I miss having little ones in my life. I would love to grow a meaningful connection with one special little person here in Salem. As to my experience, I raised two sons and have the occasional active care of my three young grandchildren when my older son and his wife travel. After college I was a nanny for a baby and toddler for a year. Prior to that I did a lot of babysitting in junior and high school. I am a calm and patient person and believe that I am good at soothing little ones. I love to sing and read to and snuggle and play with them. I like to take them outside to show them flowers and leaves and grass snd trees. I enjoy this particular age because seeing the blossoming sense of wonder and discovery in a baby's eyes just makes me happy.
