About Katherine

Hi I'm Kat! I am new to Portland and love working with kids and families to create systems of care and support. I come from an academic background in ecology and love teaching children about nature and practicing sustainability in your home. I have worked on and off at my childhood summer camp for the past 12 years. Here, I have had roles both working with campers in their cabins and supporting cleaning, cooking, and other maintenance needs of the camp. I would love to connect and explore how I can best support your family! I'd describe my personality as thoughtful, loving, and creative I like working with kids because they encourage me to lead with a playful energy. I love being silly but often forget about this part of myself. I love that when I work with kids, I can keep my silly side on full display. In my spare time, I like to create! I make quilts, clothes, and maps! I also spend lots of time exploring nature and gardening.
