About Kate

I've worked with children of all ages for the last 18 years both professionally and as a babysitter/nanny. I was a Subject Matter Expert in early childhood development for the Office of Child Care for the last four years, but lost my position due to the cuts by the current administration. I'm interested in babysitting and/or nannying while I prepare to go back to school this fall for my Masters in Social Work. I love taking care of babies and young children, and learning about their unique interests. I'm a very empathetic person and finding creative ways to engage children in learning and play is my passion! My skills include trauma responsive care, social emotional learning, and supporting kids with learning disabilities. In my free time, I like to exercise, go on walks with my dog Saoirse, play guitar, meditate, and explore new spots around Richmond.
