About Karissa

Hi there, my name is Karissa! I've been a nanny for over 3 years with experience caring for children from 6 months to 15 years old. I've been with my current family for the past 3 years - I started when she was 3, and it's been so special watching and helping her grow. I've also worked as a lifeguard and after-school program instructor, and spent 7 months as a live-in caregiver for a paraplegic adult. Those roles strengthened my patience, responsibility, and ability to manage different ages while being someone families can truly rely on. In addition, I was a grocery store manager for 3 years, where I developed strong communication, organization, and leadership skills that carry over into how I support families and create structure when needed. More than anything, I love building connections, encouraging growth and confidence, and being someone both parents and kids feel comfortable and safe with.
