About Kara

I am Kara and I have 7 years of experience in working with children with 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator. I have a B. S. in Nutrition Science from Keene State College in New Hampshire. With my background in nutrition coupled with a devotion to play based learning, I facilitated the start of a garden at a Preschool in Gardnerville, NV incorporating nature, food, and nutrition into curriculum, making children engaged participants in the process of growing food from seed to table. While the bulk of my experience is in working with ages 3-5, I also have experience in working with infant and toddlers and diapering and potty training. I also have 6 years of experience as a Certified Children's Ski Instructor and Race Coach. I am a current member with NV Registry and NevAEYC.
