About Kaitlyn

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn and I am a 22-year-old who has been nannying for 6 years and tutoring for 3. I have two undergraduate degrees. One in psychology and one in family, youth and community sciences (FYCS). I began tutoring right before the pandemic in late 2019 through working with a kindergartener and first grader. I loved working with them and continued throughout the pandemic. After they went back to school, I began working as a substitute teacher in elementary schools. I also started my master's degree with a focus in special education. I am hoping to work with a family that values both traditional instruction as well as learning through exploration such as sensory bins, trips to the museum and park. I enjoy working curriculum into these outings and feel that the kids get more out of instruction when they are interested in it. Looking forward to meeting you and your family!
