About Kaitlin

With a Bachelors degree in Human Development, I love helping children learn. I have worked in the education field for 6 years, 3 of those years I spent tutoring middle school students and teaching after school enrichment courses. For two and a half years, I managed after school programs and taught/tutored elementary school students; I was a nanny/substitute teacher for just under 6 months before I had my son last fall. For this reason, I am familiar with common core and have passed the CBEST exam, certifying me to teach students in an academic setting. I am currently a stay at home mom and would love to tutor students in my spare time. I aspire to homeschool my own son once he's older, and I love lesson planning. I am huge on social emotional learning and helping students build confidence within themselves to excel in their academics. I am very flexible, meeting students where they are at to bring them to where they wish to be, academically and socially.
