About Julie

Hi, my name is Julie. I have been working with children for the past 20 years as a special education aide @ Merritt Memorial School in Cresskill, NJ. If I'm not in the classroom with my students you will find me in our community garden that I have developed over the past 7 years. The students love getting their hands dirty in the dirt, planting, watering, composting, and learning about where our food comes from. My mission is to teach the students to appreciate the wonder and power of nature. I am also a certified Girls on the Run coach. Girls on the Run is a program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games while training for a 5k race. I also have experience caring for children after school helping with homework, studying for exams, driving to and from after school activities, and preparing dinner. I love helping children achieve their best both academically and personally.
