Hi! My name is Julia and this school year I have been a long term substitute teacher at a Montessori school here in Milwaukee. Before that I was working as a substitute teacher around the Milwaukee area for grades 3k-8th grade for 1. 5 years. I was also a pre-k and 3k/4k teacher at a nature-based school for 2 years . I have been working with children for over 10 years and have worked in various settings including people's homes, summer camps and schools. I majored in psychology at Middlebury College with minors in education and environmental studies. We are so lucky to have found Julia. She watches our 3-year-old son on date nights and the occasional weekend, and she’s the kind of sitter you wish you could keep year-round. She goes above and beyond what you’d expect from a sitter. When we were choosing a private school for him, she came along to tour with us and was genuinely invested in the decision. She’s proactive about getting him outside and active, which we really appreciate. And she’s a natural people person—warm, easy to talk to, and someone he gets along with easily.
