About Joycelyn

Hi I'm Joycelyn, I have a lot of experience working with children in different contexts including children with special needs. This includes working with children with ASD and/ or mental health concerns. I started babysitting when I was 12 and continued through college. I have a Bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in psychology. After getting my degree I continued to work with children through the agencies I served including working with homeless teens, children in foster care and working with pregnant and postpartum moms and their babies. I am a 'Big Sister' to a teenager from Big Brothers-Big sisters. (We started when she was 6) and I also babysit for my young nephews. I love hanging out and cuddling with kids but I also appreciate the need to provide them with limits and structure. I'd love to work with your family.
