I am an education professional and award-winning children's book author with experience teaching students ages 5 through college. I have both a M. S. and Ph. D. in Education. In addition to teaching at the university and high school levels, I have worked with numerous families to develop and teach home school curriculum. This includes aspiring professional athletes, families with heavy travel, and students who have been suspended or expelled. In addition to home schooling, I also tutor early childhood through college. I can either work with a student's existing curriculum through their school or develop appropriate materials and lessons to teach and reinforce skill sets. I work with students to develop strong study habits and academic identities. Having worked as a college admissions counselor, I frequently assist High School students throughout the college search and application progress.

Our son is a bright, creative boy who has struggled with reading and language his entire academic life. We tried multiple interventions, e.g.reading camps, extra classroom reading time, various tutors. None of these made a significant difference. Our son not only couldn't read well enough to keep up in class, but he had also begun, sadly, to think of himself as "slow." Brad has changed all this. In two years, our son who almost "froze" with apprehension at the thought of reading has read 15 books. And, not only has he read them, he learned to comprehend what he has read and to be able to articulate it. We're not quite sure how Brad works his magic, but we do know that it is done with humor, creativity and with a clear understanding of our son's individual needs. In addition to reading, Brad has been our son's mentor and coach in other areas helping him to become a more proficient writer, a better-organized student, and a kid who feels confident/capable.
