I am a full time English teacher at Miami Senior High school who has ample experience spending time with children, tutoring and teaching students. In high school, I was a successful baby sitter who enjoyed working with both outgoing and shy children. In college, I began my teaching career as a teacher's assistant for Race and Ethnic Studies courses. After graduation, I moved to Miami and became a full-time teacher through Teach for America. I recently finished my Masters in Education at Johns Hopkins. I am deeply familiar with the common core standards (both reading and writing) and I have experience teaching them.
